The less talky scenes are terrific, too – at least when they’re not plagued by the frozen frames mentioned earlier. It’s an unexpected bonus, given that the sensation of choice Telltale strives to imbue in all its games often turns out to be more illusionary than real. More than that, the writers show us the cumulative results of the choices we’ve made through the first four episodes in a great little scene that not only updates us on the current status of many of the story’s lesser cast members (some of whom I’d completely forgotten, given that we were originally introduced to them nearly a year ago), but also provides opportunity for them to rejoin the tale and play important roles in the final, epic action sequence.
