At the very least, players can still use the forums to reference information that lives on the various boards. It’s not just playing Friday the 13th: The Game online, though, as the official forums are going to be archived in a locked state. Shotcha did say that the Database Servers are going to stay active and continue to house all player progression and unlocks, which means “users can continue to play Friday the 13th: The Game via peer to peer Quick Play and Private Matches.” This was revealed in a forum post by Lead Community Developer Matt Shotcha, who started with a rather ominous “All things must come to an end.” Once the dedicated servers are decommissioned, Friday the 13th: The Game is going to go back to peer to peer matchmaking for Quick Play lobbies. What’s the patch all about then? It’s going to decommission the dedicated servers. There’s not going to be any new content in this update, as this new patch is going to be the game’s final one. However, this isn't a patch to get too excited about. Friday the 13th: The Game announced that a new patch is arriving this November.
